In the fall of their 6th grade year, students register for B’nai Aleph - the first of two B’nai Mitzvah prep years which includes a combination of Hebrew and Judaic Studies.
The Hebrew curriculum focuses on solidifying students’ ability to decode and start learning prayers. Students generally must be 13 years old by their scheduled B’nai Mitzvah date which often occurs sometime between their 6th and 7th grade years. Roughly one year prior to their actual Mitzvah Dates, students will begin one-on-one tutoring.
