March Adult Learning

Saturday Torah Study continues during Rabbi Dan’s sabbatical at 9:00 am in the Social Hall before each Shabbat morning service. In March Haya Kinberg will continue to share interesting insights about the week’s Torah portion, using the theme “Torah Times.” Bring your ideas to share, and hear what others are thinking, too!

Hebrew for Travelers
Haya Kinberg, one of our most learned, experienced, and talented teachers, is putting out feelers for those who are interested in a “Hebrew for Travelers” class. Haya lived for many years in Israel and is well-versed in local custom; Israel’s history, religious practice, culture, and cuisine; and the country’s geography. Ten classes would be held on Sunday afternoons, after 3:00, during April, May, and June. Cost for members of our Jewish Community is $100 and for unaffiliated Jews and the general public is $180. Youth are welcome at the same price per student. Proceeds benefit CABI’s operations budget. You will also be asked to purchase a class textbook for roughly $30 (on-line or in stores): Hebrew in 10 Minutes a Day.  If you wish to participate, contact Haya: or 360.280.8202 or CABI’s Adult Education chair, Sandy Berenter:
